Stuck at a Light

January 28, 2010

We had just missed the green left arrow and were now sitting at an intersection in our hometown while running errands this morning. It was going to be a while before our turn came around again. Monkey started asking me what all the different signs around us said and not two signs into the conversation we all heard sirens. Like most people do, we started looking around to try and tell which direction it was coming from. All the lights at our intersection turned red and a large firetruck followed by the fire chief drove by right in front of us. The boys love this, of course. When the light-cycle reset after the firetrucks passed, it was the other directions turn to go again. After watching a cement truck, and a few other construction trucks drive by, Monkey states:

“Hey, Mom. It’s just like a parade!”
